Physics and chemistry are still losing their allure for university students but pooch pampering is on the up, according to the University of Central Lancashire.
It is advertising a part-time post as lecturer in dog grooming "to deliver both the theory and practice of dog grooming and clipping" for students on animal care courses, "currently a popular and rapidly expanding area".
Interested applicants must be technically competent across a range of dog breeds - so no mutt is left having a bad hair day - and some experience of teaching or demonstration is preferable.
