Athens hosts workshop on EU policy for e-Infrastructures

A workshop on the subject of developing a new EU policy for e-Infrastructures will take place on 12 June in Athens, Greece.

Entitled 'towards integrated networking and grids infrastructures for e-science and beyond - the EU e-Infrastructures initiative', the workshop will discuss actions needed in order to develop an easier and more cost effective framework for sharing research and information society resources throughout Europe.

Those attending the workshop will also be asked to consider the best method of implementing such a model within the European Research Area.

The workshop is being organised by the Greek Presidency, the ministry of development, the general secretariat for research and technology (GSRT), the European Commission and the Greek research and technology network (GRNET), in collaboration with the Greek national documentation centre (EKT).
