Assessment of innovation on competitiveness - call for tenders

The European Commission's Enterprise DG has announced a call for tenders for a study contract concerning the development of analytical tools for assessing market dynamics in the knowledge based economy.

The main purpose of this study is to devise analytical tools - based on dynamic economic theorising, which can be applied to assess the effects of firms' innovative actions on competitiveness and competition (competition here being defined in a broad sense, including potential competition).

The concrete approach to be taken will need to reflect state of the art dynamic theorising on innovation and market dynamics. Moreover, the proposed tools will have to represent an innovative methodological step forward towards the analysis of the effects of innovative firm behaviour on competitiveness and competition in the medium and long term.
