Assembly orders review of Welsh sector

Tuition fees, research diversity and the potential for institutional merger are among the subjects to be covered in a major review of higher education in Wales ordered by the Welsh Assembly.

While the assembly lacks legislative responsibility for education, it hopes that the review will identify opportunities for development.
