Assembly of Beagle 2 Mars probe starts

Work has begun assembling the Beagle 2 Mars lander, which will hunt for life on the red planet. It is being constructed in a contamination-free room at the Open University and will be launched in January. It should arrive on Mars at the end of 2003.
