University of Teesside

Elizabeth Roberts, postdoctoral researcher at York University, has been appointed research and development officer.

South Bank University

Stephen Lee, formerly with the Institute of Charity Fund-raising Managers, has been appointed Kingston Smith senior research fellow in the university's centre for charity and trust research.

University of Stirling

Doris Littlejohn, member of the court since 1987 and chair of the university's staffing committee, has been appointed chairman of the court.

Institute of Physics

Peter Cooper, deputy executive secretary of the Royal Society, has been appointed director of the institute.

Leeds Metropolitan University

Gaynor Taylor, professor and dean of the faculty of information and engineering systems, has been appointed pro vice-chancellor; David Green, former head of school and postgraduate programmes at South Bank University's business school, has been appointed dean of the business school.

Lincoln University

Keith Bardon, former dean of the faculty of natural science at the University of Hertfordshire, has been appointed deputy vice-chancellor.
