There was a flurry of media interest last week in news that Boris Johnson, the tousle-haired Tory higher education spokesman, had started a new weblog inviting views about the state of higher education. No sooner had Mr Johnson's blog appeared than eager readers were offering suggestions. Perhaps all students should take up singing, wrote one. What about PhDs or degree courses in Boris Johnson studies, another suggested.
We await the next Tory manifesto with interest.
