Appeal to save Queen's classical languages

Members of the ruling senate at Queen's University, Belfast, were due to meet today to hear an appeal to overturn a decision to close its classical languages department. But a u-turn could upset vice-chancellor Sir George Bain's plans for investment in other areas of the humanities.
