Anything but live with Mum

Most students would rather hold down a part-time job than live at home, according to a survey by the Institute of Employment Studies. Tony Higgins, UCAS chief executive, predicted a split with students able to afford fees attending privately run institutions and those who stay at home going to nearby "community colleges".
