Oxford University this week announced that building work had resumed on its new animal research facility. Construction of the biomedical centre on South Parks Road was halted in July after animal rights extremists targeted contractors. The university said contractors were now resuming work after a High Court injunction was granted last month to protect academics and building contractors from intimidation or acts of violence.
