Three new research professorships in analytical science have been announced by the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.
Three universities will share £1.5 million to fund half the posts' salary costs for five years. York University will develop techniques for rapid analysis of complex mixtures. Sheffield University will work in nanotechnology, and York University on techniques for functional genomics and post-genomic science.
