First things first at the University of Michigan, which is to form part of the proposed new Scottish centre of engineering excellence at the redundant Rosyth naval base on the Firth of Forth. Announcing this exciting example of transatlantic understanding, the university issued a helpful press release explaining that Rosyth is pronounced rah-Zyth.
