Oxford University's senior management is looking increasingly depleted. Registrar David Holmes takes early retirement next April and Anthony Weale, the academic registrar, retires next month. The director of finance, John Clements, left last January and Helen Carasso stood down as director of public relations this summer. Bill Macmillan, pro-vice-chancellor at Oxford, is reported to be up for the vice-chancellor's job at Warwick University. Will the ivory tower wobble?
