A first formal round to negotiate a Co-operation agreement on a civil Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) with Ukraine will be held on 3 June 2005 in Kiev.

Representatives of the Member States are asked to attend in order to assist the Commission throughout the meeting and are invited to inform Ms Ineke Kerezeon (mail to: ineke.kerezeon@cec.eu.int, tel.: 02 / 296 50 93) as soon as possible about their participation.

A first Community co-ordination meeting will take place on the spot before the start of the negotiations. Further details concerning time and venue will be provided as soon as available.
