A cat's educational tale

Finally, a heart-warming tale from the West Country. Plymouth College of Further Education has helped reunite a one-eyed black cat with its owners after a five-year absence. The cat, nicknamed One-Eyed Jack, had been sleeping in an air vent at the college for more than a year. He was caught and taken to a nearby cats' home before Christmas. An advert in the local paper on New Year's Eve was spotted by his owners. Owner Dion Mellor-Senior said: "It was quite an emotional reunion. He was really affectionate and friendly. It is nice to have him back."
