£100m for 'new blood'

The Higher Education Funding Council for England has issued a call for nominations for "new blood" clinical senior lectureship awards.

Hefce and the National Health Service trusts have committed £100 million for up to 200 posts to be allocated through five annual rounds of awards. It is anticipated that up to 40 awards will be made in 2006.
