NUST MISIS Launches New Masters Programme in Linguistics

NUST MISIS opens admissions to a new English-taught Master's programme "Second Language Teaching and Pedagogical Design in Digital Environments". The programme is aimed at preparing a new generation of teachers who will create and implement innovative educational products, taking into account the rapidly changing needs of society.

There are two modules to choose from: teaching English or Russian as a foreign language. Students will learn linguodidactics, methods of teaching foreign languages and theory of language and text. In addition, they will learn to apply modern digital technologies for the development of educational courses and to conduct an expert assessment of the effectiveness of training in the digital environment. At the end of the programme, graduates will receive a master’s degree in Linguistics.

The classes will be conducted by experienced professors of the NUST MISIS Department of Modern Languages and Communication, as well as international experts in the field of education.

As an admission test, the candidate undergoes an oral interview in English on the topic of intercultural communication. The main requirement for all applicants is English language proficiency: B2 level or higher. In addition, candidates who choose the module “Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language” should be fluent in Russian at a level not lower than B1 (TRKI-1). Interviews will be held online.
