INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY Gerald Dworkin's inaugural lecture at King's College, London, "It's about time. . . how long should intellectual property rights last?" will take place on January 18 in the Great Hall, Strand Campus (from 6.30pm).

FINANCIAL HEALTH OF HIGHER EDUCATION The Society for Research into Higher Education has organised a forum entitled "The Financial Health of Higher Education Institutions in England" to be held on January 19 at 6pm in Committee Room 1 at the Institute of Education, Bedford Way, London WC1.

PROTECTING CHILDREN A national conference called "Protecting Children through Multimedia Training" on March 2 and 3 has been organised to discuss and establish the development standard and infrastructure required if multimedia training is to be effective in protecting children.
