BISHOP BURTON COLLEGE David Oxley, chairman of the Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Sports Council, has been elected to the board of governors.

UNIVERSITY OF MANCHESTER Lord Flowers, chairman of the Nuffield Foundation and president of the Association of Colleges, has been elected chancellor.

Wilfred Robin McDonough, director of the computer centre at Queen's University Belfast, has been appointed director of information systems from March 1, 1995.
