Powerful images

What are we to read into the images of two women that appeared in The Times Higher on March 16? Wendy Piatt, director-general of the Russell Group, is seated on a plush leather sofa. Sally Hunt, general secretary of the University and College Union, is perched on a hard stone step. Need we ask where power resides?
