Poverty of vision pays well (2 of 2)

While it is clearly true that vice-chancellors' salaries are excessive and there is no serious case for further increases, one does wonder how they managed to miss a trick and not develop a bonus structure for themselves.

This lack of innovation in itself is reason enough for curbs in pay.
