It is the time of year when our BSc therapeutic counselling students get to grips with sociological aspects of the profession. Frank Furedi's article will be a useful resource. It raises important questions, such as how we construct ideas of suicide. A shame he uses the evidence selectively, ignoring the inconvenient stuff such as suicide statistics.
