Pondering the plagiarism plague

Frank Furedi is right. If academics and the institutions in which they work treat knowledge as a commodity, why shouldn't students do the same? When "getting through" is all that matters, what grounds do we have for objecting to students taking the same approach to modules masquerading as education?
