Horses for (university) courses 4

Sir Richard Sykes' consistent position that there should be no more than five research-intensive universities ("Teaching-focused 'not worthy' of university title", THES , June 6) is to be admired even if one does not agree. But would this belief not waver if one of those five were not his own?
