Gary Day's electoral confusion at the difficulty of distinguishing between anodyne electoral contestants is reflected, I suspect, around the country (Opinion, April 29). Here in Bedford, the three brightly coloured leaflets that litter my hallway are remarkably similar.
Each includes a bar chart claiming to show that "only the Lib Dems can beat Labour in Bedford and Kempston"; or "only Labour can beat the Tories here"; or "only the Conservative can beat Blair".
Goodness, Gary - how exciting do you want it?
