Workplace: Brno Minimum working time: 0,2 (8 hours/week) The scope of your work will be: Education of students in bachelor and master study programmes including theoretical and practical teaching. Preparation of the study and teaching materials. Supervision of final theses. Independent research and development activities, including the publication and presentation of research results. Organization and participation in foreign internships of students and academic staff. For the position of an assistant professor, in addition: Membership in commissions for state final examinations. Independent research and development activities, including presentation of results at professional forums and publications. Required qualification: Completed professional education – obtaining professional competence according to § 5- professional competence to perform the profession of General nurse in the context of Act No 96/2004 Coll., in its current form or equivalent education obtained abroad.  Completed university education in a master's degree in a medical or related field, or equivalent education obtained abroad according to Act No 96/2004 Coll. (non-medical healthcare professions) and acquisition of specialised competence according to Act No 96/2004 Coll. in its current form. Professional experience in nursing, teaching experience. Capability of independent professional and research work including publishing activities. Capability to actively participate at an international conference or professional seminar. Fluent Czech (spoken and written). Active knowledge of English language (minimum B1 and ideally level B2). Active approach, initiative, and willingness for further education. Moral integrity. For the position of assistant professor, in addition: Completed education in a doctoral study programme (Ph.D.) or specialised competence according to applicable legislation. Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna Country View Position Description – Teaching Specialist (Academic) View Position Description – Teaching Specialist (Clinical Practitioner) View Position Description – Teaching and Research (Balanced) View Candidate Brochure About the Role We are seeking either a Professor Teaching and Research, Teaching Specialist (Academic), or (Clinical Practitioner), who will provide leadership in the design and delivery of engaging, student-centred teaching in nursing across all levels and delivery modes. The incumbent will contribute to the planning, coordination and evaluation of topics and courses, including taking on Topic or Course Coordinator responsibilities when required. A key focus will be leading curriculum review and development to create innovative, high-quality programs that foster creativity, critical thinking and strong professional capability. The Professor will support students through academic guidance, career advice and professional mentoring. The role also involves integrating new technologies and teaching innovations to enhance learning outcomes, while providing educational leadership and sharing best practice to ensure the adoption of contemporary, evidence-based teaching approaches. Additionally, the Professor (Clinical Practitioner), will focus on clinical skills training and/or supervision of students undertaking work integrated learning. The Professor, Teaching and Research (Balanced), will deliver high-quality teaching in Nursing using contemporary pedagogy, diverse delivery modes and innovative educational approaches. The incumbent will lead and contribute to impactful research by publishing recognised national and international outputs, securing external competitive grants, and supporting growth in the University’s research income. A key focus will be supervising research students - particularly PhD candidates - to successful completion and expanding the doctoral cohort. They will mentor early-career academics through co-publishing, co-supervision and grant development, and contribute to or lead research aligned with College or University priorities. The role also includes providing administrative leadership within the Nursing Teaching Program or the Nursing Research Section, as required. You will bring extensive, contemporary senior-level clinical experience and a deep understanding of pedagogical theory and modern educational practice. Your record shows excellence in tertiary teaching across classroom, simulation and clinical settings, with clear evidence of a distinguished personal contribution. You will have demonstrated leadership in developing, delivering and evaluating innovative, cross-disciplinary teaching and learning strategies that enrich the student experience and strengthen academic quality. You also possess a strong understanding of the relationship between teaching, research, scholarship and professional practice. You are currently registered, or eligible for registration, with the appropriate professional governing body and maintain active membership with the relevant discipline association. You bring an established national and international research profile in nursing, demonstrated through a sustained record of high-quality publications and success in securing competitive external research funding. Based at the Highfield Campus, the University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service (USAIS) is a regional service providing auditory implants for deaf children and adults, teaching and research. About the role: You will be working across several research projects, providing effective and efficient administrative support to the clinical trials and the wider research function within USAIS. You will assist in the co-ordination and delivery of clinical research studies and within the scope of competence undertake a range of tasks as detailed in the study protocols with support of clinical professionals. You will have practical knowledge and experience in a relevant research or clinical trials discipline as well as experience of working in a health care setting or clinical trials environment.
