关于 Strathclyde Business School

Strathclyde Business School (SBS), founded in 1948, is one of four faculties that form the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland.

SBS won Times Higher Education Business School of the Year in 2016 and Entrepreneurial University of the Year in 2013. It was also the first triple-accredited business school in Scotland.

The school has seven academic departments, each offering programmes at all levels and some are faculty-wide programmes. For example, the four-year BA Honours Business degree offers flexible subject choice: In the first year, students take classes in business and other disciplines.

The compulsory Management Development Programme (MDP) comprises a series of classes taken throughout years one to three, involving working on real business problems with other students in project teams. The programme aims to build students’ confidence and entrepreneurial capabilities, and promotes awareness of globalisation and ethical issues in personal and business decision-making. In year three, students develop their own pathway from internships, involvement with business projects, engagement in interdisciplinary activities and business clinics.

Major employers and alumni from all sectors are involved in the MDP, participating in group sessions, observing student presentations, and providing feedback. Organisations involved include Barclays, Morgan Stanley, Link Group and EY.

The school has several research centres, including the Fraser of Allander Institute in collaboration with the economics department and the Strathclyde Institute for Operations Management, a joint venture between SBS and the engineering faculty. It also has several international centres, including in Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Greece, Oman, Malaysia, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
