关于 Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics

Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics is the largest higher educational and research institution specialising in economics in Eastern Ukraine.

The university has a history that dates back to 1888 when the Kharkiv Commercial College was founded by Commerce Advisor M. Orlov. In 1921 the college was renamed the Institute of National Economy and in 1994 the institute became the State University of Economics. It was granted national university status in 2004 and in 2013 it was named after American economist, a noted alumnus, and became Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics.

The university is organised academically into seven faculties: Faculty of Economy and Law, Faculty of Information Technologies, Faculty of Management and Marketing, Faculty of International Economic Relations, Faculty of International Relations and Journalism, Faculty of Finance, and the Faculty of Training Foreign Citizens. Each faculty is divided into different departments, which offer a range of both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes.

At the heart of the university is a strong emphasis on internationalisation, providing opportunities for students to participate in exchange programmes, internships, and collaborative research projects with partner institutions across the globe.

Throughout the academic year, the university hosts a variety of conferences, seminars, and workshops featuring experts in economics and related fields.

The university is located in Kharkiv, the second-largest city in Ukraine. Situated in the northeast of the country, Kharkiv lies between the Ida, Lopan, and Kharkiv rivers.
