Description The Academic Enrichment Program at NYU Abu Dhabi is an academic program designed to help prepare Emirati students to succeed as fully matriculated students in a liberal arts and research university. The program focuses on developing linguistic and argumentation skills through three thematically integrated courses that scaffold learning and provide solid preparation for student engagement in the liberal arts curriculum. The Academic Enrichment Program consistently advises students as they negotiate the transition to the university. AEP also works with students to enhance individual academic and cultural experiences while also giving them a sense of personal accomplishment and growth. The Lecturer is expected to teach three courses with multiple sections throughout the academic year, with a commitment of three meetings per week. The Lecturer will work closely with the Executive Director on syllabus and program development, and on expanding resources across the university for students who need support. Lecturers also advise and mentor students, work closely with academic support staff, design aspects of the experiential learning component of the program, and may be asked to assist in program administration. The Lecturer's appointment is for a period of three years, beginning in the Fall of 2026, and is potentially renewable and subject to a probationary review at the end of the first year. Lecturers teach up to six sections (or their equivalent) of the courses over the academic year; report to the Director of the Academic Enrichment Program; work closely with the Academic Staff within the program to assist in writing; mentor students in academic advising, and participate in program development activities. Lecturers attend orientation in August, continue ongoing research in their academic or creative fields, participate in regular professional development workshops throughout the academic year, and contribute to the intellectual life of NYUAD. Ideal candidates will have experience working with students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. The successful candidate is expected to teach courses throughout the academic year, meeting with classes three times per week. In addition to working directly with students, the candidate will actively participate in program activities and faculty meetings. Applicants must hold an advanced degree (PhD preferred) and have a minimum of seven years of experience mentoring students and teaching writing at the college or university level. A strong record of professional achievement is preferred. Candidates should also demonstrate a genuine commitment to professional collaboration, student well-being, and organizational modeling. Description The Center for Interdisciplinary Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (CIDSAI) at NYU Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a Research Engineer to support the design and implementation of interactive AI and data science platforms across the Center’s research clusters. The successful candidate will collaborate with researchers and faculty across domains such as Foundations of Data Science, Enabling Technologies, Health, Education and Personalized Learning, and Bias, Ethics & Privacy, contributing to the development of prototypes, interfaces, and software infrastructure that translate research outputs into usable tools. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain web-based and AI-powered platforms supporting CIDSAI research projects. Collaborate with faculty and postdocs on projects such as: Mathematical Collaboration Platform, Personalized Learning Systems and SmartClass AI Tutors, Health-focused conversational AI and multimodal interfaces, Bias detection and fairness-aware tools for ethical AI. Integrate machine learning models, visualization dashboards, and backend services. Contribute to data collection, testing, documentation, and dissemination of open-source resources.
