GBSB Global Business School

GBSB is an management school based in Barcelona which offers bachelors and masters qualifications through the medium of English. It was known as GBSB Barcelona until 2017, a change of name which coincided with the opening of a new campus in Madrid, close to the university district in the Spanish capital.

It bills itself as "the first business school in Spain with a focus on the world".

It reckons to have students from more than 70 countries, and has developed some significant international partnerships in recent years. The most striking of these is with Microsoft which has named it as a Showcase School, accrediting GBSB as a leader in digital education. It has developed links with British accrediting bodies, becoming the first Spanish learning partner recognised by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and an international centre for Awards for Training and Higher Education (ATHE).

A further UK dimension is provided in its three-year full-time bachelor in business administration degrees which offer a top-up year at one of the universities of Northampton, Derby, Worcester, Sunderland or Coventry.

Options under the BBA include public relations and communications and, from 2018, sports management, with a pitch to students emphasising Barcelona’s reputation as a venue for top-class sport. MBA options include operations and supply chain management master's qualifications are also offered in partnership with two Spanish Universities which are modern refoundations of ancient institutions: the public Spanish-medium Universidad de Alcala, based in Alcala de Henares close to Madrid and the private Catalan-medium Universitat de Vic/Universitat Central de Catalunya.
