Position Details  Continuing | Full-Time Higher Education Officer Level 7 | $100,233 - $110,954 p.a.  Location: Bedford Park  View Position Description  About Information and Digital Services Information and Digital Services (IDS) are a pivotal resource of the University, providing information and digital technology services and support to the Flinders University staff and student community. The IDS team apply technical expertise to support university projects and provide core services such as the IDS Service Desk, Audio visual, simulation and event services, Information security and identity access management services and more. About the Role  As the Identity Services Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the operations and continuous improvement of the University’s identity management service – a collection of vendor solutions and custom application code that provides automated user registration, provisioning, authentication, access governance and compliance functionality for the University’s student, staff, and affiliate population. The role works closely with other practitioners and teams to ensure continuous identity management service improvement. Some of the key position responsibilities of the role are: Troubleshooting the operation of the University’s identity management platform (comprising Okta/SailPoint Identity Now/Entra ID/Dell Boomi/Active Directory and custom-developed utilities). Assisting with deployment and integration of new identity management capabilities within implementation teams of varying size, comprising IDS staff, business representatives, and resources from third party suppliers. Interfacing with University stakeholders and customers for identity services, ensuring their requirements are well understood and incorporated into the identity management services and initiatives. Identifying, managing, and mitigating risks related to the activities being undertaken by the role in line with IDS and Flinders University policies and procedures. About You  As the Identity Services Specialist, you will be an experienced specialist, possessing excellent technical management and support skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve user provisioning issues across integrated applications, and the University’s identity management platform. You will be assisting with writing technical and user documentation, as well as conducting system testing that enhance the identity service. You are a driven professional with a growth mindset. You are passionate about fostering a positive culture in the workplace and can work independently and as part of a close-knit team. You have the ability to work under pressure and build relationships with various stakeholders across the University. Previous Identity Services employment/experience along with coding, scripting and system admin is highly desirable. Some of the key position capabilities of the role include: Appropriate tertiary qualification in Information Technology or relevant technical area, and / or equivalent relevant experience in an IT environment. Your personal sphere of play: The research group of Prof. Dr. Ina Bergheim, Molecular Nutritional Science, Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Vienna, is looking for support in human studies focusing on the interaction of nutrition, metabolic liver disease and immune responses. We are an interdisciplinary research team working at the interfaces between nutrition and the development of metabolic diseases as well as healthy aging. We build on a good working atmosphere, close collaboration with our students, self-dependent involvement, and coordination of research projects. Your future tasks: You will be responsible for the conceptualization, co-coordination and co-supervision of studies focusing on the effects of nutrition on the gut-liver axis and immune response in humans and cell culture models. Participation in paper writing and publication, independent teaching, as defined by the collective agreement, is expected. Furthermore, you will be expected to supervise students, participate in evaluation measures and quality assurance, and be involved in the department administration, as well as teaching and research administration.
