Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) is a public sector university located in Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan. BUITEMS was founded in 2002. The student body of the university grew from 90 in 2002 to over 10000 in 2018. BUITEMS provides opportunities irrespective of gender, for admission in its academic programs and employment on all ranks. The Governor Balochistan is the Chancellor of the University. Vice Chancellor is the Chief Executive of the University. BUITEMS is ISO 9001-2015 certified university and the member of International Association of Universities (IAU), Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), United Nation Academic Impact (UNAI), American Society for Quality (ASQ), World Confederation of Businesses (WORLDCOB), Talloires Network and Association of Quality Assurance Agencies of the Islamic World (IQA). The Medium of instruction at Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences is English. The University is recognized by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and has been declared as an Engineering & Technology University. All its programs are accredited by respective councils. The University offers 33 undergraduate and 30 graduate programs in 32 disciplines including 12 engineering programs. These programs are offered in five faculties by 32 departments. Faculties are: Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Faculty of Life Sciences and Informatics, Faculty of Management Sciences and Faculty of Arts and Basic Sciences.
