Description The Communication Theory and Technologies (CT&T) Research Group in the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate. The candidate will be under the supervision of CT&T Research Group Director Prof. Dr. Murat Uysal and is expected to carry out cutting-edge research on the physical layer design of wireless communication systems and explore enabling technologies for 6G and beyond wireless networks. Applicants must hold a PhD degree in electrical/electronics engineering, telecommunications or related field. Other requirements include Strong background in communication theory, signal processing, and wireless communications, Extensive experience in physical (PHY) layer algorithm design and performance analysis, Proven track record of publications in relevant IEEE journals and conferences, Strong verbal and written skills in English, Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and capacity to pursue independent research. Description The newly established NYUAD Wireless Research Center at New York University Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Research Scientist (RS) to lead the experimental development of cognitive omni-band wireless systems for 6G and beyond. The successful candidate will be jointly supervised by Mahmoud Rasras and Murat Uysal and will work in close collaboration with other researchers at both the New York and Abu Dhabi campuses. Principal Responsibilities The RS will design, implement, and validate custom optical wireless communication (OWC) testbeds operating at visible light (VL) and infrared (IR) wavelengths. The RS will serve as a system architect for the omni-band wireless testbed, overseeing the development of RF testbeds for sub-6 GHz, cmWave, mmWave, and THz bands, and ensuring seamless integration with OWC testbeds to enable omni-band experimentatio The RS is expected to disseminate results through publications in high-impact journals and presentations at leading international conferences. The RS is expected to contribute to intellectual property development through patent filings and participate in international standardization efforts relevant to wireless technologies in coordination with academic and industrial collaborators. The RS will represent NYUAD Wireless at major academic, industry, and policy-oriented events and contribute to strengthening its visibility and engagement with global research and innovation ecosystems. Qualifications Applicants must hold a PhD degree in electrical/electronics engineering, telecommunications or related field. Other requirements including: Minimum 5 years of postdoctoral or industrial experimental research experience in optical and/or wireless communication systems, RF/optical system prototyping, and SDR testbed development. Ability to use various electronic and optical measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, arbitrary waveform generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, optical powermeter, optical spectrum analyzer, beamshape analyzer, spatial light modulators etc Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end RF/optical transceiver design Experience in system modeling (Simulink, ADS, CST) Strong background in DSP for physical layer design Hands-on experience with commercial SDR platforms (e.g., NI USRP) Proven track record of publications in relevant IEEE journals and conference Work experience within multi-disciplinary teams across RF, optics, and systems. Description The Center for Cyber Security (CCS) at New York University (NYU) Abu Dhabi, UAE invites applications for a Research Associate / Postdoctoral Associate position, in the area of Quantum Computing Security. The candidate is expected to do cutting-edge research in multiple of the following areas, therefore prior expertise in these topics are highly encouraged: Quantum Machine Learning (QML), Machine Learning on Quantum Computers, Security of Quantum Circuits, Design Automation and Tools for Quantum Circuits, Robust and Efficient Mapping of Quantum Algorithms on Quantum Machines, Quantum Noise-Aware Optimizations for QML, QML Security, Error Correction for Quantum Computing, Secure Quantum-Classical Systems, Privacy-Preserving Quantum Computing, and Fingerprinting for Quantum Computing. Strong work experience with some quantum machines and development environments like QiSKit and PennyLane are highly appreciated. Expertise in Quantum Physics is a plus point. Applicants with a PhD in Quantum Physics are also welcome, but they should have a focus on Quantum Circuits, Quantum Algorithms, and preferably expertise in developing Software for Quantum Machines.The appointment will be for a period of two years, and extensions to longer terms are possible upon review.
