This includes supporting charter award applications and related processes, including Athena SWAN, Stonewall’s Workplace Equality Index and other equality frameworks, through evidence gathering, action tracking, project documentation and routine progress monitoring. The role will also signpost colleagues to agreed guidance, resources and processes, and escalating complex, sensitive or strategic matters to senior OIE colleagues as appropriate. The role will also support the delivery of activities that contribute to an inclusive and equitable working and learning culture by assisting with communications, resources, events, campaigns and project administration that promote equality, diversity and inclusion for staff and students. About You The ideal candidate will lead on institution-wide EDI projects within the OIE, support charter award applications and processes. You will have strong interpersonal skills, and if you are able to accurately and articulately deliver complex information in simple terms, then this role is for you. Review and work collaboratively to action key findings from Athena Swan Action Plan as well as other action plans arising from the other charters. Research Fellow to join the Big Data in Health Group About us The Big Data in Health group at the University of Southampton is based in the Primary Care Research Centre. We aim to understand patterns, trends, and associations of diseases to inform preventive action in the UK and international contexts. Our group comprises a diverse, multidisciplinary team conducting high-quality, innovative research that addresses complex health and social care challenges of the 21st century. We employ traditional statistical and epidemiological methods, cutting-edge artificial intelligence algorithms, and qualitative research to provide a deeper understanding, insights, and applications.  About the role  In this role, you will join a successful interdisciplinary and mixed-methods team with extensive qualitative and quantitative expertise that conducts research to support people with multiple long-term conditions. The post holder will already be working in the field of multimorbidity. They will have good organisational and administrative skills. They will have excellent writing skills and be able to work independently to draft high-quality academic research papers and convey methodological results of findings through presentations using interactive visualisations.. This position is a unique opportunity to join an experienced, fast-paced and high-output research group, working closely with our supportive team to help deliver School for Primary Care Research (SPCR), National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and United Kingdom Research and Innovation (UKRI) funded projects in populations with multiple long-term conditions. The post is offered full-time for 6 months and will be available starting in June/July. The salary for this position will be level 4. We welcome applications from researchers with a strong track record in MLTC and at least some knowledge of AI-enabled digital health tools, along with proven experience leading and managing research teams, including supervising staff, mentoring, and professional development. You will be able to work to tight deadlines, manage your time independently, be flexible to accommodate project demands and responsive to requests from line managers and other colleagues. You will possess excellent organisational and inter-personal skills and high professional standards.
