1.These Additional Terms detail the additional terms and conditions which apply to your use of the Times Higher Education platform, website and related services (“THE”) and should be read in conjunction with our General Terms and Conditions (“General Terms”). The legal agreements set out below govern your use of THE and detail the contracts between users of THE and us.
2. Please read both these Additional Terms and the General Terms carefully before using any part of THE. By using THE and/or any of the Websites or Services, you agree to the General Terms and any Additional Terms applicable, including these Additional Terms. Capitalised terms used but not otherwise defined in these Additional Terms have the meaning given to them in the General Terms.
3. These Additional Terms and the General Terms (and any additional agreements referred to or contemplated in each of the foregoing) represent the entire agreement between us and you. In the event of a conflict of the General Terms, the terms of these Additional Terms shall prevail over General Terms. These Additional Terms shall also prevail over the THE Competition terms.
4. Without prejudice to our powers under the General Terms, you agree that we at our sole discretion, without notice to you, may: (i) terminate or amend the General Terms or these Additional Terms and/or any user’s account; and/or (ii) preclude any user’s access to the THE website(s) (or any part thereof), and seek any other lawful remedy available.
THE STUDENT RECURRING DRAW
Definitions:
5. The competitions will have Prizes as determined monthly by us.
6. The Entry Requirements will be that you have elected to be a member of the THE Student Panel.
7. Start Date and End Date shall have their natural meaning the competition being a monthly draw.
General terms:
10. No purchase of any goods or services are required to enter any competition.
11. The successful entrant(s) will be determined by random selection monthly as determined by us.
12. The number of successful entrants shall be determined by us.
13. No entrant may be successful in the draw more than once per month. If an entrant is drawn more than once that draw will be disregarded.
14. Competition entry is only available to those during any given month who are members of the THE student panel.
15. You will not be charged by us to participate in a competition.
16. In the event of more than one prize being available, the prize you receive will be determined by us at our sole discretion. No cash alternatives will be provided.
17. No liability is accepted by us for any prizes not received by any successful entrant. If the prize is not claimed by the successful entrant(s) within 14 days of the End Date we reserve the right to award the prize to another randomly selected entrant.
18. The prize will be sent to the entrant within 30 days of the End Date.
19. The successful entrant(s) consent to the publication of their name and resident country by us.
20. Only one entry per person is permitted. “person” meaning a natural person. Only entries actually received by us before the End Date will constitute an opportunity to take part in the competition.
21. No employee or partner of us may enter a competition.
22. All decisions of us regarding a competition are final, correspondence will not be entered into relating to them.
23. We are not responsible for any failure by a third party to honour or provide the Prize where provided by a third party.
24. No entry will be accepted in contravention of these terms.
25. You must be 16-years-old or older to participate in a competition.
26. Despite the intent to run the competition monthly as expressed in these terms, no guarantee or warranty is provided that the competition will run in any given month. THE accepts no liability for running the competition. THE may cancel this competition at any time.
Personal data inputted on THE Websites
27. All personal data inputted into forms on our websites will be held by us in keeping with our Privacy Policy. We shall handle your data in accordance with this policy even where the form purports only to send your details to a third party.
