GSU gained its research status in 1995 and is the largest university in the state with a student population of 32,000 and over 250 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. More than 100 fields of study are managed by around 3,500 faculty members spread across eight academic colleges and schools, including policy studies, nursing and health, arts and sciences, education, law, public health, business, and a school that focuses on introducing students to their chosen discipline.
Largely regarded as a business capital, the city of Atlanta enables GSU students to take advantage of a wide range of employment and networking opportunities.
The university campus neighbours notable local landmarks like the CNN Centre, the global headquarters of CNN, and the Centennial Olympic Park, built to host the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympic games. Collectively, the university library and the law library hold over 4.3 million books. Both also serve as a federal document depository, which means they contain government documents that can be accessed by the public for free.
Included in its 180,000 strong network of alumni is Academy Award-winning actress Julia Roberts and American rapper Ludacris.
WRAS, the university radio station, has been run by students since it launched in 1971.
Atlanta’s Rialto Center for the Arts is an 833-seat performing arts venue and home to the university’s School of Music. The centre also acts as a cultural resource for the wider community, hosting external events such as the annual Rialto Series, a showcase of some of the best international jazz acts, and the National Black Arts Festival.
GSU’s Student Recreation Center, funded from student fees and costing nearly $30 million to complete, spans 161,112 square feet and offers students a huge variety of sports facilities and fitness programs.

About us: Child and Young People’s Psychological Trainings (CYP-PT) are a national suite of service transformation and new workforce programmes led and contracted by NHS England Workforce, Training & Education (NHSE-WTE), of which a large part is training for managers, supervisors, and therapy practitioners in delivering evidenced based, accountable therapies. Students are staff from the NHS, Local Authority and Voluntary Organisations. The CYP-PT programmes follow National Curricula. The Post Graduate Diploma in Therapies, including Systemic Family Practice is a highly specialist one-year full-time professional training programme, based in the Department of Psychology, School of Mental Health & Psychological Sciences (MHaPS), Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) at King’s College London (KCL). The Systemic Family Practice strand of the programme is accredited by the Association of Family & Systemic Psychotherapy as an Intermediate level training. The programme is based at the Denmark hill campus and teaching on the programme is a mix of online and face to face lecture and small tutor groups. The role is to work with a small group of systemic trainees on the Eating Disorders pathway, and is therefore open to UKCP registered Family and Systemic Psychotherapists who have extensive experience in working in Eating Disorders services with children and adolescents. About the role: The role is to work with a small group of systemic trainees on the Eating Disorders pathway, and is therefore open to UKCP registered Family and Systemic Psychotherapists who have extensive experience in working in Eating Disorders services with children and adolescents. Teaching will be delivered through lectures and practice tutor groups with smaller groups of students, where students will bring video recordings of their clinical work or role play practice. The tutor will work with a group of usually 6 students to review recordings of their clinical work and develop their systemic skills through feedback and discussion. A competencies framework is used to support trainees to self monitor their skills acquisition, and also as a structure for formative and summative assessment of clinical skills in assignments. The post holder will meet weekly with the Module Lead and other systemic tutors to discuss relevant issues such as any concerns relating to students’ academic or clinical work and general welfare. The post holder will also conduct formative and summative assessments of clinical practice, including marking, and moderation of assignments by the dates agreed, and attending marking workshops and regular group supervision sessions with other tutors. The post holder will also be a personal tutor for a number of trainees. In this role the post holder will meet termly with their personal tutees as a group, and will be available to meet with personal tutees individually where required. The personal tutor role involves sign-posting students to relevant sources of support (welfare and academic) within working hours. The post-holder will also have a role as academic tutor to provide academic support for trainees where required. This is a part time post (10% FTE; 3.5 hours per week) and you will be offered a contract for 1 year. The earliest possible start date is 3rd March 2026. Research staff at the Centre have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets relevant to industry demands while working on innovative projects within the university. The primary responsibility of this role is to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of an advanced content moderation framework for immersive 3D virtual environments, such as Roblox and Minecraft. The engineer will play a key role in building a parallelized, agent-driven exploration system and integrating a multimodal detection pipeline, ensuring real-time performance, scalability, and deployment readiness in alignment with the project’s research objectives. The successful candidate will work with a diverse team of faculty members, engineers, and industry partners, including renowned researchers at the College of Computing and Data Science (CCDS) at NTU. Technical skills, natural curiosity, versatility, and enthusiasm are highly desired traits that will enable success in this fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage the research project together with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Collaborate with the PI, Co-PIs and NTU team to design and develop a robust and scalable software system for autonomous agents navigating immersive 3D virtual environments (e.g., Roblox, Minecraft). Implement a parallelized agent-driven framework where multiple LLM-powered agents operate concurrently to explore user-generated worlds and trigger diverse contextual scenarios. Develop a unified multimodal detection pipeline that integrates video, audio, and text leveraging fine-tuned Vision-Language Models (VLMs) from WP3, supporting zero-shot reasoning and scene-graph inference. Ensure the system is deployment-ready by supporting benchmarking of inference speed, compute efficiency, and scalability with concurrent agents. Enable real-time adaptive learning via human-in-the-loop feedback and reinforcement learning mechanisms in collaboration with other work packages. Maintain high software engineering standards through rigorous testing, version control, clear documentation, and continuous improvement of development infrastructure (e.g., CI/CD, Docker, cloud-based services). Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers. Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Job Responsibilities Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field. Hands-on experience in designing and implementing software systems involving multi-agent frameworks. Familiarity with immersive platform development (e.g., Roblox, Minecraft), including scripting (Lua/Java), agent behavior modeling, event handling, and API-based integration with external AI systems. Experience with distributed systems, reinforcement learning, or simulation environments (e.g., Unity3D, OpenAI Gym, WebGL) is advantageous.
