De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI) was originally founded in 1979 as the Emilio Aguinaldo College of Medicine in Dasmariñas, Cavite. It became part of the De La Salle University System in 1987 and was renamed several times before becoming De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute in 2018. Today, it stands as a leading institution in the Philippines dedicated to medical education, research, and health service.

Academically, the institute is organised into eight colleges: College of Medicine, College of Allied Sciences, College of Dentistry, College of Medical Laboratory Science, College of Medical Imaging and Therapy, College of Nursing, College of Rehabilitation Sciences, and the Dr Mariano Que College of Pharmacy. Each college is divided into different departments, which offer a range of degree programmes at both undergraduate and graduate level. 

DLSMHSI is also home to a specialised Senior High School for Health Sciences, which was established in 2016. The school prepares students for various health sciences fields leading to a doctor of medicine. The curriculum integrates public understanding of science in health to highlight the importance of science in healthcare. 

The DLSMHSI Academic Support Centre was founded to provide comprehensive academic assistance, career guidance, and a wide range of resources designed to foster student success and enrich learning experiences. 

The Angelo King Medical Research Centre plays a central role in the institute’s research activity and is widely recognised for conducting the highest number of clinical trials among private institutions in the country.

Description We are seeking Post-Doctoral Associates who are passionate about Data Science, with an emphasis in Computational Social Science, with a starting date of September 1, 2026. Some of the possible research topics include: (i) social media analysis, (ii) collaboration and teamwork, (iii) gender inequality, (iv) diversity, (v) online controlled experiments, and (vi) network science. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and hard-working with a PhD in Data Science, Computational Social Science, Computer Science, or Information Science. The position requires experience with at least one of the following: Data Science, Machine Learning, Computational Social Science, Big Data. Relevant skills could include statistical analysis, data management and collection, causal inference, network analysis, graph theory, visualizations, and online tool development. Experience in conducting online controlled experiments is also desired, but not required. Excellent communication skills in English, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and scientific creativity are essential. Selected candidates will spend half their time on collaborative research with Bedoor AlShebli, an Assistant Professor in Computational Social Science in the Social Science Division at NYUAD, and half their time on independent research. The selected candidate will receive an appointment for three years. Job Purpose The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses two Innovation Centres – Rapid Product Innovation and Development (RaPID) Centre and SIT-Poly Innovation Centre of Excellence (SPICE) Centre. The RaPID Centre aims to guide businesses in their innovation and value creation activities through rapid product development and sample production while the SPICE Centre aims to support local Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in their technology-driven transformation, innovation and talent development initiatives. These Innovation Centres house a dedicated pool of Professional Officers who come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. Professional Officers work with industry partners to co-create commercially viable solutions. They deliver on projects that help industries and businesses to move up the innovation value chain. Key Responsibilities Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry. Involve in customer engagements including gathering of systems requirements and writing project scope. Involve in the full development life cycle, i.e., design, development, and testing Generate technical proposals, design documents, test documents. Manage laboratories and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research. Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. Job Requirements A degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline. Possessing a master’s degree, PhD degree and relevant certifications will be an added advantage. Experienced in developing machine learning and generative AI solutions for deployment into production. Strong proficiency in Python and AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras) Strong programming skills in Python/Java/Javascript. Knowledge in LLM, RAG, LangChain would be advantageous. Knowledge of cloud computing and AI deployment (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) would be advantageous. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking skills. Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure that the project can meet the milestones adhering to the stipulated timeline. Description Location Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Description The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a motivated Research engineer to work under the supervision of Dr. Marwa Chafii on Channel Modeling for integrated sensing and communication (ISAC). Responsibilities: Lead the design, setup, and execution of ISAC channel measurement campaigns across multiple environments, hardware platforms, and frequency bands Develop, validate, and document ISAC channel modeling methodologies tailored to the lab’s hardware/software testbed. Integrate SDRs (e.g., USRPs, RFSoC) and RF front-ends (FR2, FR3, V-band) into end-to-end ISAC demonstrators. Implement and optimize advanced signal processing algorithms for joint communication and sensing. Analyze experimental datasets, extract statistical models, and compare findings across environments, hardware, and frequency bands. Collaborate with PhD students, postdocs, and faculty on joint projects, ensuring experimental results support theoretical work. Co-author scientific publications in IEEE journals and conferences, and contribute to open datasets/methodologies for the research community. Requirements: Education: Ph.D. (preferred) or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a closely related field. SDR Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with SDRs (USRP, RFSoC, or equivalent). FPGA programming experience is a plus. Programming Skills: Strong experience with MATLAB and/or Python; experience with C++ for high-performance signal processing is a plus. Experimentation: Proven experience developing wireless prototypes, demonstrators, or proof-of-concept systems. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to the project “Rare Earth Element Valorisation and Extraction in Vietnam: An Integrated Sustainability Approach” which addresses Vietnam’s strategic need for environmentally responsible and low-carbon pathways for rare earth element (REE) recovery and processing. The project integrates computational modelling, experimental research, fieldwork and appropriate sustainability tools (eg life cycle assessment) to evaluate and develop sustainable REE extraction routes. The postdoc will work on the molecular-level understanding and design of functionalized adsorbents for selective REE recovery from dilute or complex matrices. In addition, the postdoc is expected to conduct experimental and field-based investigations of biomass-assisted and nature-based extraction approaches in Vietnam. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The postdoctoral researcher will be expected to: Apply computational models (or collaborate with computational experts) for REE–adsorbent interactions. Perform or co-develop environmental impact analyses for REE processing routes. Design and conduct laboratory experiments and selected fieldwork related to biomass-based REE extraction in Vietnam. Analyze and integrate experimental, modeling and environmental-based data to develop sustainability insights. Co-supervise students and contribute to the overall research culture of the group. It aims to pioneer the XJTLU 2.0 – Syntegrative Education model to cultivate future-ready leaders. As part of its vision and mission to explore Syntegrative Education and create an entrepreneurial ecosystem, XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) comprises seven Industry-themed Schools and several campus-level platforms. The Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Hub (EEH), as one of the cross-campus innovation platforms, serves as the cornerstone for catalysing entrepreneurial learning, applied research, and venture development. EEH is led by a Director and consists of four divisions: Entrepreneurial Education, Entrepreneurship and Incubation, Enterprise and Industry Ecosystem, and Industry Executive Education. This role directly oversees Innovation Factory (ideation-to-solution testing) and X3 Co-Venture (incubation-to-acceleration) – dual engines powering XEC’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Role Overview The Director of Entrepreneurship and Incubation provides senior strategic leadership for the development, integration, and operational excellence of Innovation Factory and X3 Co-Venture. Reporting directly to the Director of EEH, in collaboration with the XEC Chief Operating Officer and Deans of School, this role drives synergies between both units to advance XEC’s entrepreneurial vision while embedding innovation across academic programmes and external partnerships. The successful candidate will demonstrate entrepreneurial acumen, forge cross-functional alliances, and influence institutional strategy to position XEC as a leader in innovation, entrepreneurship and commercialisation. Key Responsibilities and Duties Direct and provide strategic and operational leadership of Innovation Factory and X3 Co-Venture, aligning with EEH’s strategic objectives and XEC-wide priorities.
