Suleyman Demirel University was established in 1996 in Kaskelen, Kasakhstan, and currently has four faculties: education and humanities; engineering and natural sciences; law and social sciences; and business. Most of the degree programmes are taught in English, but some can be taught in Russian or Kazakh. The university offers degree programmes from an bachelor's level to postgraduate master’s and doctorate levels. There are students from across the world in over 15 countries. The Business School offers students the chance to become accredited through ACCA, CIMA and CIM certification, and aims to provide students with the preparation necessary for a career in business after university. Those who study under the law and sciences faculty are surrounded by well-known and highly reputable staff, including professionals with practical experience in court. The faculty supports student startups and creative approaches. The engineering faculty aims to prepare future specialists in IT and technical specialisms for industry. Throughout their courses, students will gain both technical and management skills, including 3D modelling, artificial intelligence and mobile application development. The faculty of education and humanities aims to provide students with skills to fill gaps in the market. Students in this faculty can study abroad for a semester, with partner universities including countries such as South Korea, Lithuania, Malaysia, US and the UK. They can also take part in the Erasmus programe. The careers department helps students explore their future career options, offering employment opportunities, connecting them with employers, and holding guidance sessions. There are seven major careers events throughout the year, including career day where business representatives will interview students as a practice. There’s also a job fair and guest workshops for students to attend.

Position Details Full-Time or Part- Time available | Fixed term until June 2026 Academic Level B | $113,211 - $133,974 p.a. pro rata Location: Tonsley / Kaurna Country View Position Description About the Role In this non-traditional role, the Postdoctoral Research Fellow will play a key part in delivering ARIIA’s capability building and workforce development initiatives for the aged care sector. The incumbent will actively contribute to the design, development, delivery, review, and continuous improvement of resources for the Innovation Capability Program and associated short courses. Additionally, in close partnership with senior staff and other Research Fellows, the role will coordinate, plan, and implement research consultancy activities to support ARIIA’s work with the sector to innovate, embed best-practice and improve care and services. Working collaboratively across ARIIA, the Research Fellow will participate in the co-design of innovative approaches and multi-modal learning resources, including digital and multimedia content. The position involves facilitating engaging capability building programs delivered both online and in person, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for diverse audiences.   The role also involves collecting and developing case studies that showcase program activities and outcomes, and developing evidence-based tools and resources to support knowledge application. It also involves contribution to research consultancies through co-design, implementation, data collection, evaluation, data analysis, reporting, and effective knowledge dissemination and translation. About You You will have completed a PhD, or equivalent qualification, in a discipline relevant to aged care and bring a strong understanding of the aged care sector and its operating context. You demonstrate relevant and industry-facing experience in research translation  and knowledge mobilisation, with a proven track record appropriate to career stage in innovation, co-design, or service delivery contexts. This may include publications in high-quality platforms, success in attracting external competitive funding, and presenting research at national and/or international forums, as well as sector-facing outputs such as toolkits, training materials, white papers, frameworks or guidelines. You have demonstrated capability in planning and delivering rigorous data collection and conducting quantitative and/or qualitative analysis. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to facilitate group-based activities that support co-design and peer learning in industry settings. You are highly organised, and outcome focused, with proven experience delivering project milestones and targets on time. A demonstrated understanding of challenges in aged care and research (highly desirable). Motivated to lead, develop and teach curriculum related to sustainability both for pre-employment learners and continuous education and training. Desirable Experience in sustainability related projects with strong integration of the three pillars of sustainable development. Knowledge in sustainability-related technologies such as carbon capture, utilisation and storage, as well as business practices and models such as carbon trading and circular economy. Expertise in carbon accounting and carbon compliance rules (e.g., Greenhouse Gas  (GHG) Protocol, ISO 14064, Singapore’s Carbon Tax Regime). Knowledge and experience in sustainable finance.
