Established in 1983, Lagos State University is a public university in Nigeria, operating three major campuses, namely: Ojo, Ukeja and Epa. As the only state university in Lagos State, the non-residential university has over 35,000 students enrolled full time in courses at diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Ojo campus is the main campus and the location of the central administration. It houses the faculties of arts, education, law, management sciences, science and social sciences, school of transport, school of communication, centre for environment studies and sustainable development, centre for general Nigerian studies, centre for planning studies, information and communication technology centre, online and distance learning and research institute and centre for entrepreneurial studies. The Lagos State University Epe campus, a fully residential campus on a former military barrack, is even larger than the main campus. It is home to the faculty of engineering, the school of agriculture and the institute for organic agriculture and green economy. The faculty of engineering includes four departments, namely mechanical engineering, electronic and computer engineering, chemical and polymer engineering, and aeronautic engineering. The administrative structure of the university has been built on a network including the registry, academic planning unit, general administration, academic and students affairs, senior staff establishment and welfare, junior staff establishment and training. The Latin motto, Per la verità e di servizio, translates to "For Truth and Service". Notable alumni include former deputy governor of Lagos State Oluranti Adebule, singer and songwriter Brymo, actress Chioma Chukwuka and Tajudeen Obasa, member of the National Assembly.

We are passionate structural biologists (focused on NMR spectroscopy of nucleic acids) at CEITEC, looking for  Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Non-Coding Genome Research group About this position:  We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team! The research project will focus on developing fluorine NMR methodologies to unravel the nucleic acid conformational landscapes. G-quadruplexes (G4) and i-motifs (iM) are paradigmatic non-canonical nucleic acid structures that are abundant in the human genome and overrepresented in evolutionarily conserved and functionally important regions, including the telomeres, centromeres, and promoter regions of (onco)genes. They have been involved in pathobiological processes and the development of genetic instability-driven conditions, rendering them a fascinating subject within structural biology. This project will integrate ¹⁹F NMR and complementary biophysical assays on G-quadruplex- and i-Motif-forming DNA/RNA sequences to investigate their structural equilibrium, dynamics, and ligand binding interactome in vitro and in the intracellular space. The outcome will provide fundamental insights into the dynamic structural interconversion of non-canonical nucleic acid systems, enabling the fine-tuning of gene expression and associated cellular dysfunctions. We are seeking a creative and independent individual with documented research experience relevant to this position. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds and are committed to fair hiring practices. The ideal researcher (EU Researcher Profile: R2) profile: Must-have: A PhD degree or equivalent in structural biology, Chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, or a related field. Expertise in biomolecular NMR and a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals Experience in the sample preparation, acquisition, processing, and resonance assignment of multidimensional solution NMR spectra for nucleic acid/ protein systems and their complexes with small ligand-like molecules. Familiarity with NMR data acquisition and analysis for characterising dynamics is advantageous. Strong scientific writing and communication skills (publications, reports, presentations) in English. Motivated to establish an independent research direction within the group’s broad interests. Nice-to-have:  Nucleic acid labelling strategies (chemical, enzymatic synthesis, click chemistry basics) Complementary expertise in other biophysical assays to monitor biomolecular interactions/binding affinities (i.e. ITC, MST, BLI, etc.) Good communication and interpersonal skills. Job Purpose The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum. Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry. In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT. Key Responsibilities Design and teach labs & practice modules. Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry. Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research. Ensure safety in labs Job Requirements A Master’s degree in Radiography or related field. Possessing a PhD will be an added advantage. Deep technical specialist with 10 or more years of working experience in the acute / community / other clinical rehabilitation setting. Possess clinical experience and competence in Radiography. Having expertise in general radiography or other area of specialization (e.g., MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Angiography and Fluoroscopy) is preferred. Knowledge and experience in working with simulated healthcare institution and community environment and educational manikins will be advantageous. Extensive experience and knowledge of industry practices to bring industry perspective to SIT.  Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems. Strong supervisory skills and enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment. Demonstrate proficiency to keep abreast of development in the field and pursue professional certification programs. Possess industrial certifications in relevant areas will be an added advantage.

It aims to pioneer the XJTLU 2.0 – Syntegrative Education model to cultivate future-ready leaders. As part of its vision and mission to explore Syntegrative Education and create an entrepreneurial ecosystem, XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) comprises seven Industry-themed Schools and several campus-level platforms. The Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Hub (EEH), as one of the cross-campus innovation platforms, serves as the cornerstone for catalysing entrepreneurial learning, applied research, and venture development. EEH is led by a Director and consists of four divisions: Entrepreneurial Education, Entrepreneurship and Incubation, Enterprise and Industry Ecosystem, and Industry Executive Education. This role directly oversees Innovation Factory (ideation-to-solution testing) and X3 Co-Venture (incubation-to-acceleration) – dual engines powering XEC’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Role Overview The Director of Entrepreneurship and Incubation provides senior strategic leadership for the development, integration, and operational excellence of Innovation Factory and X3 Co-Venture. Reporting directly to the Director of EEH, in collaboration with the XEC Chief Operating Officer and Deans of School, this role drives synergies between both units to advance XEC’s entrepreneurial vision while embedding innovation across academic programmes and external partnerships. The successful candidate will demonstrate entrepreneurial acumen, forge cross-functional alliances, and influence institutional strategy to position XEC as a leader in innovation, entrepreneurship and commercialisation. Key Responsibilities and Duties Direct and provide strategic and operational leadership of Innovation Factory and X3 Co-Venture, aligning with EEH’s strategic objectives and XEC-wide priorities. Establish integrated governance frameworks, policies, and operational protocols for both units, incorporating academic, industry, and governmental perspectives. Secure and strategically allocate financial, human, and infrastructural resources to sustain growth and innovation across both units. Provide strategic oversight of budgeting, investment controls, and legal compliance for both units, ensuring fiscal integrity and adherence to university and market policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards. Directly manage Directors of Innovation Factory and X3 Co-Venture, and co-lead the Operation Team (direct-line reporting to the Chief Operating Officer) to foster high-performance cultures and collaborative excellence.  Cultivate solid partnerships with faculty, students, investors, government entities, and industry to amplify impact and secure opportunities. Advise the XEC Leadership Team on entrepreneurship strategy, scalable incubation models, and ecosystem development. Proactively monitor strategic risks and emerging opportunities for both units, ensuring compliance with university priorities, market trends and national and international regulatory frameworks.  Drive collaboration between Innovation Factory and X3 Co-Venture for seamless venture pipelines. Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer to optimise centralised support functions (e.g., finance, IT, HR, local government) for enhanced operational efficiency. Represent Innovation Factory, X3 Co-Venture, and EEH at national/international forums, government meetings, and industry events to elevate institutional visibility. Oversee the creation of joint initiatives and events (e.g., mentorship schemes, innovation challenges) bridging research, education, and commercialisation. Maintain high-level external networks to access early-stage market intelligence, benchmark best practices, and influence entrepreneurial policy landscapes.  Perform any other work-related tasks assigned by the line manager or the Leader of the XEC Leadership Team. Qualifications and Experiences Substantial senior-level experience in entrepreneurial education, incubator/accelerator management, or innovation ecosystem development within higher education or comparable settings. Proven success in strategically overseeing multiple business units/projects (e.g., incubators, innovation labs) with integrated performance metrics. Established credibility with academic, industry, and government partners; demonstrated ability to negotiate resources and represent institutions at executive levels. Track record of leading managers and cross-functional teams to deliver complex, institution-wide initiatives. Expertise in securing diversified funding (grants, partnerships, sponsorships) and allocating resources for multi-stakeholder programmes.
