Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute was founded in 1937 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses across the three faculties: pharmacy, industrial pharmacy and training pharmacists. Tashkent is home to numerous universities, making for a large student population, allowing the Pharmaceutical Institute’s students to meet and learn from people from all over the world, who study many different disciplines, whether it be music, law, education or architecture. Students at Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute have the opportunity to study abroad in South Korea and Moscow as part of their studies, as well as being able to study in different parts of India. The Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute is committed to helping their graduates progress into the world of work, and offer online courses post-graduation to allow students to gain skills in administration and job interviewing to make them more employable. Tashkent is the capital of Uzbekistan, and is known for its historical and cultural heritage through its many museums such as the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan. There is also the Museum of Applied Arts and the Amir Timur Museum. Students also have access to traditional local markets, such as the Chorsu Market, where they can learn about local foods, clothing, goods and cultural practices. Entertainment can be found in the Alisher Navoi Opera, where students can watch opera, ballet and acting performances. Tashkent is famous for the first demonstration of an electronic television set, which was made in Tashkent in 1928 by Boris Grabovsky.

Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT.  The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an innovation research project where you will be part of the research team to conduct applied research in the topic of Human-in-the-Loop AI perception system that leverages user concerns and identified driving scenarios to generate new and relevant driving scenes for enhancing the perception system performance for autonomous vehicles (AV). Key Responsibilities Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Undertake these responsibilities in the project: Conduct the research work in Human-in-the-Loop AI perception system for autonomous driving Work with the research team, collaborators and the industry partner to design the framework of the proposed solution Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers. Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment Job Requirement Have relevant competence in the areas of Deep Learning/Computer Vision. The experience in diffusion models is a plus. Have a PhD degree in computer science/engineering or related disciplines. Knowledge of autonomous vehicles or cyber security will be advantageous. Have strong research record, preferably on top-tier computer science/engineering conferences. The Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM) is currently seeking an  AI & Image analysis specialist (2-year position) Location: Helsinki, Finland Project: KUDOS Cellular Twins Do you have an innovative mindset, enjoy exploring new ideas, and are you motivated by work that can lead to both scientific breakthroughs and real-world impact? Our team is looking for an AI/ML expert with experience in biological microscopy image analysis and a strong interest in applying ML to cancer related challenges. This is a 2-year fixed-term position (starting as soon as possible) within the KUDOS Research-to-Business (R2B) team. The role is part of an innovation-driven project with high commercialization potential and offers the opportunity to contribute to technologies that may evolve into a future startup or spin-out. Our work focuses on developing advanced, data driven solutions to improve understanding, prediction, and treatment response in pediatric cancers, with broader applicability to adult cancers and other diseases. Key responsibilities Design and build AI-based image analysis pipelines for multi-omics prediction tasks. Integrate molecular and imaging data to develop and expand the KUDOS multimodal data library Apply diverse data science and machine learning methodologies, including the development of novel analytical approaches. Work and communicate efficiently in a highly interdisciplinary environment that bridges the university and health care sectors, bringing together scientists, machine learning experts, and clinicians. Essential skills and qualifications Master’s or doctoral degree (or equivalent experience) in mathematics, computer science, engineering, statistics, biology, medicine, or a related field. Experienced applicants with a bachelor's degree or similar can also be considered.
