Since its inception in 1994, National Dong Hwa University has not only strived to fortify its campus infrastructure and carry out its teaching and research responsibilities, but it has also initiated a variety of educational programs for extensive community outreach in Eastern Taiwan. The main campus of NDHU, located 16 km south of Hualien city with an area covering more than 251 hectares (650 acres), is the largest flat land campus in Taiwan. Nestled between the Coastal Mountain Range and the Central Mountain Range in the verdant and pristine Papaya Creek Delta, the University is situated in a spectacularly beautiful natural environment.

As a knowledge provider and the breeding ground, NDHU offers a liberal environment, green campus and a wide range of research/innovation centers, catering to nearly 10,000 students coming from more than 50 countries around the world. The University offers various training and professional development opportunities that increase the availability of local human resources, it also shares many of its resources, such as the library and athletic and teaching facilities with schools in the local area. Many of the faculty members play an active role in local educational and cultural projects, lending their experience and guidance to a vast array of activities.

Description The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi is inviting applications for Postdoctoral Associate positions in the broad research areas of mathematical analysis and partial differential equations (PDEs). While all applicants with a background in the analysis of PDEs will be considered, candidates with prior experience in theoretical physics, fluid mechanics, kinetic theory, dispersive equations or harmonic analysis will be given special attention. The Postdoctoral Associates will be appointed for a duration of two years and will work under the supervision of Associate Professor Diogo Arsénio on subjects including: Magnetohydrodynamics and the mathematical theory of plasmas. Collisional kinetic models and their hydrodynamic limits. Dispersive phenomena in kinetic theory. Quantum gases. Applicants must hold a PhD degree in mathematics, physics or a related field. We seek candidates with an outstanding academic record. The terms of employment are internationally competitive, and they include housing subsidies, as well as educational support for families. Description The Social Science Experimental Laboratory (SSEL) at New York University Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Post-doctoral Researcher position. We seek an ambitious, well-trained, and collaborative scholar with a PhD in economics or a related field. Candidates must have expertise in experimental methods and prior experience conducting social science experiments (lab, lab-in-the-field, online, and/or field). Researchers working at the intersection of experiments and other methods (theory, empirical) as well those studying human behavior and artificial intelligence are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate is expected to: Conduct and publish research in leading journals in social science or interdisciplinary outlets. Collaborate with SSEL board members and affiliated faculty. Contribute to the smooth operation of the laboratory. Participate in the academic activities of the division. This position does not include teaching duties and the SSEL provides financial support for travel and research. The successful applicant will join a vibrant community of economists, sociologists, and political scientists conducting cutting-edge experimental research on human behavior. The Social Science division holds active seminar series, as well as workshops and events year round. The SSEL also maintains close ties with the Center for Behavioral Institutional Design (CBID), thereby offering many opportunities for collaboration, idea exchange, and research visibility. Description The Center for Sand Hazards and Opportunities in Resilience, Energy, and Sustainability (SHORES) and the Division of Engineering (Civil & Urban Engineering) seeks to recruit a Post-doctoral Associate to work on a broader field of geotechnical engineering.  Required Qualifications: A successful applicant must have a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on one or more of the following: Centrifuge experimental testing (design, execution, and data interpretation) Numerical modeling and simulation to complement physical experiments Preferred) Proficiency in CAD and modeling tools such as SolidWorks for experimental design and apparatus development Additional background in areas such as artificial intelligence applications in geotechnics, geoenvironmental engineering, geohazards risk assessment, or energy geotechnics will be considered an asset.  Research Project: The successful candidate will lead a research project focused on advancing the design, testing, and analysis of resilient and sustainable geotechnical systems using centrifuge modeling. The work will bridge advanced experimental testing with complementary numerical simulation to generate insights for infrastructure and energy applications. The Post-doctoral Associate will be expected to: Design, implement, and analyze centrifuge experiments. Integrate findings with numerical models for validation and deeper interpretation. Description The Center for Astrophysics and Space Science (CASS) at NYUAD is looking to appoint new independent fellows working in one (or more) of the following center's research fields Extrasolar Planets Galactic Astrophysics (including compact objects) Extragalactic Astrophysics and Cosmology Astroparticle Physics (Dark Matter searches, gamma-ray spectroscopy, gravitational waves) The center currently consists of eight faculty members and more than 25 researchers and PhD students. The Center possesses the unique possibility to investigate fundamental questions in astrophysics, astroparticle physics, and planetary physics from several points of view, with the expertise of its members ranging from collecting and analyzing state-of-the-art data on the nature of the visible and invisible matter in the Universe, to detailed theoretical and numerical studies from planets to galaxies, and linking them together cohesively. We expect successful applicants to work towards improving the collaborations and connections among the different areas. We invite applicants to visit our website to learn more about current research projects at CASS. The center fellows will have access to a 70,000-core Infiniband Cluster (Jubail) dedicated to the science division, several GPU-based clusters at NYUAD, and other supercomputer facilities through the CASS network. NYUAD also has guaranteed observing time on the Green Bank Telescope, the Very Long Baseline Array, and Las Cumbres Observatory, and is a participant in SDSS-V. Applicants should have a PhD in astronomy, astrophysics, physics, or a closely related field. The appointment will be for an initial period of two years with a likely extension to a total of three years. CASS fellows will have dedicated funds for traveling, computing, publications, etc. The preferred starting date is Fall of 2026.
