Qualifications and Qualities PhD in a related field. A distinguished record of academic achievements and international recognition in research, scholarship and teaching. Proven experience in visionary leadership and university-level administration. A strong international network and a demonstrated ability to secure research funding. Effective interpersonal communication skills and a high standard of personal integrity. The ability and willingness to represent the interests of the discipline and School in the wider community. The ability to teach in Chinese is desirable. They should preferably have a recognized postgraduate qualification, at Master’s level or equivalent in Applied Linguistics or a related discipline. They are expected to have at least 3 years’ post-qualification teaching experience, preferably at tertiary level, or relevant professional experience. The Centre is specifically looking for candidates with competence in the following areas: (i) teaching academic literacy and communication skills at the undergraduate level; (ii) embedding digital competence and multimodal communication in teaching practice and materials design; and (iii) supporting student learning beyond the classroom through blended-learning and digital resources.
