The University of Denver (DU) was founded in 1864 and is almost as old as the city of Denver itself. This private institution is home to around 11,000 students. The university was founded as Colorado Seminary by the territory’s then-governor John Evans, with the backing of the Methodist Church, and became the University of Denver in 1880. While the university prides itself on its Methodist principals, it has explicitly stated since its founding that it accepts students of all religions. DU’s College of Business is one of the oldest in the United States, dating back to 1908. A broad spectrum of studies is available at DU, with over 100 undergraduate programmes and 120 graduate programmes. Experiential learning has a high profile at DU. Students are encouraged to take on community projects, research and internships, and many choose to study abroad DU’s athletes, known as Pioneers, have had greater success in skiing than any other university. The university also has an excellent reputation in ice hockey and lacrosse, and plays in 16 different sports in total. The 125 acre campus sits a few miles south of downtown Denver in a quiet residential neighbourhood. The city can be accessed in minutes by light rail, or students can stay on campus to enjoy its extensive library, recreation centre and tree-lined green spaces. More than 400 performances take place on campus each year. Notable alumni from UD include major political and business figures such as former US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice, Home Depot CEO Carol Tomé and Coors Brewery chairman Peter Coors.

Description We are seeking Post-Doctoral Associates who are passionate about Data Science, with an emphasis in Computational Social Science, with a starting date of September 1, 2026. Some of the possible research topics include: (i) social media analysis, (ii) collaboration and teamwork, (iii) gender inequality, (iv) diversity, (v) online controlled experiments, and (vi) network science. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and hard-working with a PhD in Data Science, Computational Social Science, Computer Science, or Information Science. The position requires experience with at least one of the following: Data Science, Machine Learning, Computational Social Science, Big Data. Relevant skills could include statistical analysis, data management and collection, causal inference, network analysis, graph theory, visualizations, and online tool development. Experience in conducting online controlled experiments is also desired, but not required. Excellent communication skills in English, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and scientific creativity are essential. Selected candidates will spend half their time on collaborative research with Bedoor AlShebli, an Assistant Professor in Computational Social Science in the Social Science Division at NYUAD, and half their time on independent research. The selected candidate will receive an appointment for three years. The position provides salary higher than internationally competitive rates for Post-Doctoral / Research Engineering / Research Associate positions, in addition to substantial benefits (generous housing, transportation and travel allowances, educational subsidies for children), together with full health insurance and retirement contributions. About the role King’s College London’s Simulation and Interactive Learning Centre is seeking a Simulation Education Specialist to support the delivery of high-quality, clinically relevant simulation-based education across the Health Faculties. This professional services role acts as a key link between the centre and academic colleagues, helping to translate curricular and clinical requirements into practical, well-designed learning activities that meet recognised standards of simulation practice. You will play a central role in planning, coordinating, and delivering simulation sessions that are educationally sound, operationally feasible, and provide meaningful learning outcomes for students and staff. The post holder will develop, maintain, and manage centre-specific educational resources, documents, and repositories, including exploring opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and resource tracking. By capturing the educational demand from faculties, you will help inform service planning, centre resource development, and potential research initiatives, contributing to the continuous enhancement of simulation-based education across King’s Health Faculties. You will provide guidance on best practice in simulation pedagogy, support faculty colleagues in session design, and ensure all activities comply with quality assurance processes and clinical standards. It aims to pioneer the XJTLU 2.0 – Syntegrative Education model to cultivate future-ready leaders. As part of its vision and mission to explore Syntegrative Education and create an entrepreneurial ecosystem, XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) comprises seven Industry-themed Schools and several campus-level platforms. The Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Hub (EEH), as one of the cross-campus innovation platforms, serves as the cornerstone for catalysing entrepreneurial learning, applied research, and venture development. EEH is led by a Director and consists of four divisions: Entrepreneurial Education, Entrepreneurship and Incubation, Enterprise and Industry Ecosystem, and Industry Executive Education. This role directly oversees Innovation Factory (ideation-to-solution testing) and X3 Co-Venture (incubation-to-acceleration) – dual engines powering XEC’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Role Overview The Director of Entrepreneurship and Incubation provides senior strategic leadership for the development, integration, and operational excellence of Innovation Factory and X3 Co-Venture. Reporting directly to the Director of EEH, in collaboration with the XEC Chief Operating Officer and Deans of School, this role drives synergies between both units to advance XEC’s entrepreneurial vision while embedding innovation across academic programmes and external partnerships. The successful candidate will demonstrate entrepreneurial acumen, forge cross-functional alliances, and influence institutional strategy to position XEC as a leader in innovation, entrepreneurship and commercialisation. Key Responsibilities and Duties Direct and provide strategic and operational leadership of Innovation Factory and X3 Co-Venture, aligning with EEH’s strategic objectives and XEC-wide priorities. Establish integrated governance frameworks, policies, and operational protocols for both units, incorporating academic, industry, and governmental perspectives. Secure and strategically allocate financial, human, and infrastructural resources to sustain growth and innovation across both units. Advise the XEC Leadership Team on entrepreneurship strategy, scalable incubation models, and ecosystem development. Proactively monitor strategic risks and emerging opportunities for both units, ensuring compliance with university priorities, market trends and national and international regulatory frameworks.  Drive collaboration between Innovation Factory and X3 Co-Venture for seamless venture pipelines. Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer to optimise centralised support functions (e.g., finance, IT, HR, local government) for enhanced operational efficiency. Represent Innovation Factory, X3 Co-Venture, and EEH at national/international forums, government meetings, and industry events to elevate institutional visibility. Qualifications and Experiences Substantial senior-level experience in entrepreneurial education, incubator/accelerator management, or innovation ecosystem development within higher education or comparable settings. Proven success in strategically overseeing multiple business units/projects (e.g., incubators, innovation labs) with integrated performance metrics. Established credibility with academic, industry, and government partners; demonstrated ability to negotiate resources and represent institutions at executive levels. Track record of leading managers and cross-functional teams to deliver complex, institution-wide initiatives. Expertise in securing diversified funding (grants, partnerships, sponsorships) and allocating resources for multi-stakeholder programmes. Extensive active networks with investors, policymakers, and entrepreneurial communities across China and globally.  Expertise in designing governance frameworks, risk-mitigation strategies, and service delivery models for innovation platforms.
