The University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, founded in 1867, is the flagship campus of the University of Illinois. 

It is the second oldest public university in the state of Illinois, after Illinois State University, and is made up of 17 colleges offering about 150 different study programmes.  The institution is spread out over some 647 building set on a 4,500 acre campus. 

The university is one of the original 37 public land-grant institutions that were founded when Abraham Lincoln signed the Morrill Act in 1862. 

The libraries at the university hold one of the biggest collections of any public library in the US, with some 13 million volumes across nearly 40 library sites. 

Some 11 graduates of the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign have gone on to win Nobel Prizes, with 18 winning Pulitzer Prizes. 

The university’s Krannert Center for the Performing Arts  has four theatres, which seat 4,000 people and host about 350 performances by both students and professional acts every year. Its Krannert Art Museum and Kinkead Pavilion contain nearly 10,000 works of art, while the Spurlock Museum has 46,00 artefacts from around the world. 

The largest collection of John Philip Sousa music manuscripts is housed at the university’s Sousa Archives Center for American Music. 

There are 23 halls of residence at the university – enough to accommodate more than 8,500 students. 

The university takes its name from the twin cities of Champaign and Urbana, which have a combined population of 207,000 and are located about 180 miles north of St Louis and 140 miles south of Chicago.

The SIT x NVIDIA AI Centre (SNAIC) is seeking a business-driven professional to lead industry partnerships and growth initiatives that expand the Centre’s commercial and strategic footprint. The role is responsible for identifying high-value collaboration opportunities, shaping business models for applied AI projects, and securing funding or co-development commitments that contribute to SNAIC’s long-term sustainability. Working at the intersection of technology and business, this role acts as SNAIC’s front-facing dealmaker, translating market demand, ecosystem signals, and AI innovation into viable partnerships across areas such as Generative AI, Large Language Models, Computer Vision, Digital Twins, and Multimodal AI. Success in this role requires strong commercial instincts, the ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders, and the discipline to drive opportunities from early exploration through signed agreements and delivery. Key Responsibilities  1. Industry Engagement & Business Development Identify, qualify, and engage potential industry, government, and ecosystem partners for applied AI collaboration opportunities. Drive the deal process from initial discussion through to agreement. Manage active partnership accounts and track delivery milestones to ensure commitments, timelines, and outputs are met. 2. Marketing, Outreach & Positioning Contribute to industry events, workshops, showcases, and demos that strengthen SNAIC’s visibility and lead generation. Support development of partnership assets such as case studies, pitch decks, project proposals, and success stories. Work with internal teams to amplify SNAIC’s applied AI capabilities to targeted sectors and communities. 3. Data, Reporting & Pipeline Management Maintain an up-to-date CRM pipeline of leads, partners, proposals, and project statuses. Generate periodic dashboards and management reports on engagement performance, deal progress, and partnership outcomes. Ensure data accuracy and traceability across all stages of the partnership lifecycle. Job Requirement  Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Data/AI, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, innovation projects, or roles involving both technical and commercial stakeholders. Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ideally in a cross-functional environment. Working understanding of AI concepts, use cases, and industry trends, with interest in areas such as Generative AI, LLMs, Computer Vision, or Digital Twins. Exposure to NVIDIA’s AI ecosystem (e.g., Omniverse, CUDA, DGX, NGC) is a plus, but not required. Strong communication and relationship management skills, able to engage industry partners and internal stakeholders confidently. Good writing and presentation abilities for proposals, pitch decks, and briefing materials. Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple partnership pipelines, timelines, and reporting needs. Comfortable using CRM tools, dashboards, or project tracking systems. Key Competencies Understanding of AI and emerging technologies. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to liaise confidently with both engineers and executives. Strong proposal writing, pitch deck creation, and presentation skills; able to tailor messaging for both technical and executive audiences. Able to interpret partner needs and convert them into feasible project scopes, requirements, or collaboration models. Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects concurrently. Comfortable with CRM tools and project tracking. Takes ownership of tasks, anticipates next steps, and moves opportunities forward without waiting for instructions.

Job Purpose The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum. Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry. In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT. Key Responsibilities Design and teach labs & practice modules. Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry. Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research. Ensure safety in labs Job Requirements A good degree in Occupational Therapy or related fields. Masters, PhD and/or relevant professional certifications would be advantageous. Deep technical specialist with 10 or more years of working experience in relevant setting such as hospitals, occupational therapy clinics, community-based setting, long-term care or skilled nursing facilities. Have deep, hands-on competence in the areas of psychosocial domain of health involving in occupational therapy or psychology Knowledge and experience in working with people with a range of conditions, including those who have physical disabilities, mental or social problems. Possess practice knowledge on administration and application of various occupational therapy assessment tools. Extensive experience and knowledge of industry practices to bring industry perspective to SIT.  Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems. Strong supervisory skills and enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment. Demonstrate proficiency to keep abreast of development in the field and pursue professional certification programs. Possess industrial certifications in relevant areas will be an added advantage.

Description The newly established NYUAD Wireless Research Center at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate (PDA) to engage in cutting-edge research on the physical layer design of next-generation wireless communication systems, with a primary focus on 6G technologies. The research will particularly emphasize spectrum candidates beyond the current 5G NR range, including FR3 (7–24 GHz) and the THz band (100 GHz and above). The PDA will be jointly supervised by Qurrat-Ul-Ain Nadeem, Marwa Chafii and Murat Uysal. Principal Responsibilities The PDA will conduct research on the design and development of next-generation wireless communication systems. Specific topics include, but are not limited to, waveform design for the THz spectrum under hardware constraints, beamforming techniques for FR3 and THz bands, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS), and integrated sensing and communications (ISAC). The research methodology will involve the development of mathematical models for signal transmission and reception, derivation of fundamental performance limits, algorithmic-level system design, and performance evaluation through computer simulations and/or experimental validation. The PDA is expected to actively disseminate results through publications in high-impact journals and presentations at leading international conferences. The PDA is expected to contribute to the intellectual property development through patent filings, as well as participating in standardization efforts relevant to wireless technologies, in coordination with academic and industrial collaborators. Qualifications Applicants must hold a PhD degree in electrical/electronics engineering, telecommunications or related field. Other requirements include:  Strong background in communication theory, signal processing, and wireless communications  Proven track record of publications in relevant IEEE journals and conferences  Extensive experience in physical layer algorithm design and performance analysis In addition to the above qualifications, it is highly desirable that the candidate has prior research experience in one or more of the following research topics:  Waveform design for different RF bands (FR3, MMW, sub-THz/THz)  Analog/digital/hybrid beamforming Integrated sensing and communication  Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces  Hardware-constrained signal processing for wireless communications The candidates will be considered until the position is filled.
