In this interview, Christian Jowers, head of global engagement at IDC Herzliya, describes the challenges that universities face in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, particularly in investing in new teaching methodologies.

Although the pandemic has certainly catalysed this transition, he argues, universities have been looking for ways to adapt to 21st century teaching methodology for some years

Mr Jowers emphasises this is an excellent opportunity to redefine teaching and learning in higher education whilst also taking advantage of the online space to connect with diverse groups of students globally.

He is optimistic that this opportunity will allow universities to demonstrate their ability to adapt and thrive when faced with challenges.
