First Impressions

This week's competition, in which you have to identify a book from its opening sentence, is from a book on mathematics greatly admired by Einstein:

"Man, even in the lower stages of development, possesses a faculty which, for want of a better name, I shall call Number Sense ."

The winner receives a £25 book voucher. The closing date is February .
