Zhejiang Gongshang University was founded in 1911 as Hangzhou Vocational Business School. It is considered China’s oldest business school and takes its current name from Zhejiang, the Eastern China province where it is based, and a word for industry and business. It adopted its current name in 2004.

The university focuses teaching and research in the fields of social science. Colleges and departments include business administration, economics, finance, statistics and maths, tourism and law among many others. There are 17 colleges at the university in total.

The original downtown campus still hosts several departments and the university press, which in 2012 published the Complete Works of Dickens presented as state gift at the London Book Fair.

The Xiasha campus, a 280 acre site in Xiasha University Town, is where much of the university's activities take place while the Tonglu campus hosts the Hangchow College of Commerce.

Some of the courses are taught in English such as finance, accounting, international business, and computer science and technology among others. There is also a Chinese language course, that international students can take to improve their Chinese language skills.

More than 200 international partnership agreements have created bodies like L’Alliance Francaise de Hangzhou, set up in 2008, the Sussex Alternative Intelligence Institute and courses such as a dual degree in supply chain management with the University of Sharjah.

Description The Center for Genomics and Systems Biology (CGSB) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications from individuals to be appointed as a SENIOR RESEARCH SCIENTIST. The position will be based at NYU Abu Dhabi and supervised by Claude Desplan. Candidates must hold a PhD in Molecular Biology with at least 10 years of relevant experience in their field (not including the years obtaining the PhD or equivalent terminal degree) along with extensive research and publication in well-known journals and conference papers or similar research accomplishments. The ideal candidate will be part of an exciting project developing new, environmentally friendly control options for the red palm weevil, a pest of date palms. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing genetic tools for the control of the red palm weevil. For this purpose, experience with CRISPR/Cas9, genomic and molecular techniques is very important. Description The Division of Engineering (Civil and Urban Engineering) in New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a post-doctoral associate to work on research centering around infrastructure systems and the environment under the supervision of Dr. Ahmad Bin Thaneya. The post-doctoral associate will lead collaborative efforts in advancing research focusing on the intersection of infrastructure, climate, and human health. Examples of current active projects include: Developing optimization models to analyze and mitigate fine particulate matter (PM2.5) exposure from various infrastructure systems (e.g., transportation networks, manufacturing systems, and truck routing). Assessing the relevance of the intake fraction (i.e., exposure efficiency) of major emission sources as a critical metric for infrastructure design, management, and policymaking. Investigating the residual sources of PM2.5 exposure from transportation systems following electric vehicle (EV) adoption, including exposure due to emissions from electricity generation for charging EVs, buses, trucks, rail, pavement resurfacing, tire and brake wear, and supply chain effects. Conducting life-cycle uncertainty assessments of building materials, carbon sinks (e.g., carbon dioxide removal options), and alternative low-carbon fuel sources. Candidates should demonstrate a strong theoretical background and proficiency in one or more of the following areas: infrastructure systems modeling, emissions inventory development, air quality modeling (chemical transport models and/or reduced-complexity models), exposure assessment of airborne pollutants, and life-cycle assessment. The post-doctoral associate will be expected to lead research efforts and contribute to publications in reputable academic journals. About the role: We are looking to appoint a Programme Manager to join Dr Heathcote’s team within the Health Psychology Group, Department of Psychology at King’s College London. We are seeking a proactive and organized Programme / Lab Manager to oversee the administrative and operational aspects of a 5-year Wellcome Trust funded research programme entitled ‘When your body betrays you: interoceptive mechanisms of anxiety after cancer’. This is an interdisciplinary research programme cutting across psychology, neuroscience, and patient-clinician communication. This dynamic role involves managing budgets, contracts, and collaborations across leading institutions (KCL, UCL, and Stanford), supporting clinical trial-related activities of novel digital mind-body therapies, and facilitating research dissemination through publications and science communication. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Principal Investigator and lab members, coordinating meetings, onboarding new staff, and fostering a positive and inclusive research culture. This role will require in-person attendance at Guy’s Hospital for at least two days per week on Mondays and Tuesdays. Description The Clinical Artificial Intelligence Lab at NYU Abu Dhabi seeks to improve patient care by developing new machine learning methodologies that tackle unique computational problems in healthcare applications. We use large real-world complex datasets, including data extracted from electronic health records and medical images, for applications pertaining to patient diagnostics and prognostics. We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the team and make significant contributions to the field. The researcher is expected to have (i) strong machine learning skills to improve model performance and robustness, and (ii) exemplary passion and motivation to pursue multidisciplinary research at the intersection of computing and healthcare. Methodologies of interest include: Multi-modal learning Foundation models, including large language models Agentic AI Multi-agent AI systems Transfer learning Self-supervised learning Federated learning The Postdoctoral Researcher will be primarily based at NYU Abu Dhabi. The researcher will report directly to Dr. Farah Shamout and work in close collaboration with other researchers, PhD students, and undergraduate research assistants. The researcher will engage with our regular collaborators across the NYU campuses and local medical institutions in the UAE.
