Applicants should have a Ph.D. and M.B.B.S or M.D. degree and be highly motivated in teaching and learning, with demonstrated experience and excellence in the teaching of physiology discipline for medical, nursing, pharmacy, and biomedical sciences undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. Applicants should also have strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to work independently and as a team, and be able to multi-task. Experience in teaching anatomy, biochemistry, or digital education in medicine is a plus. The position offered depends on level of expertise and years of teaching experience – at least 10 years for Senior Lecturer and 3 years for Lecturer. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Lecturer. The appointee will be responsible for teaching, conducting tutorials and demonstrations, supporting curriculum design, and developing teaching materials, etc. He/She will work closely with a team of colleagues dedicated to the development and delivery of innovative pedagogical approaches to improve student learning across several undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for Senior Lecturer and Lecturer, and 10% of basic salary for Assistant Lecturer.
