Base Salary $112,628 - $122,702 (HEO7) + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The University of Sydney is seeking a Senior Student Partnerships Coordinator to play a pivotal role within the Student Partnerships and Programs team, leading stakeholder consultation initiatives delivered through Sydney Student Voice, an initiative to engage students as co-design partners in strategic student experience projects. You will work collaboratively with academic and professional staff across the University to design and coordinate student engagement activities that directly inform projects, services, and strategic priorities. This role has a strong operational, facilitation and stakeholder management focus, contributing directly to strengthening the student voice across the institution. Your key responsibilities will be to: coordinate end to end stakeholder consultation projects, working closely with academic and professional staff across faculties and portfolios plan, design and deliver student workshops, focus groups and consultation sessions that enable meaningful participation manage stakeholder communication, expectations and project milestones from initiation through to delivery facilitate student engagement activities, including feedback sessions, ensuring inclusive and productive environments analyse qualitative feedback and produce high quality reports, summaries and insights to inform University projects and initiatives maintain accurate documentation, project trackers, records and reporting for all partnership and consultation activities. About you demonstrated experience coordinating stakeholder engagement initiatives or consultation projects from start to finish expertise facilitating workshops, focus groups or feedback sessions, ideally in an education or community engagement context strong ability to write clear, concise and insight driven reports experience working within student experience, community engagement, or higher education settings proficiency managing project logistics, timelines and documentation, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Role Overview As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have opportunities to tackle real-world, industry-relevant problems, working alongside faculty members and professional officers. The SIT Centre for Intelligent Robotics (CIR) is an applied research centre responsible for developing and maintaining core applied robotics and embodied AI capabilities for real-world deployment. CIR is seeking a Robotics Engineer to implement state-of-the-art learning-based robotic manipulation methods on physical platforms for industry-driven applications, with an emphasis on contact-rich manipulation, robustness, and safe operation. The successful candidate will work closely with physical robots to translate recent advances in learning-based robotics into reliable, deployable systems. Key Responsibilities Implement, adapt, and evaluate state-of-the-art learning-based methods (e.g. imitation learning) for contact-rich robotic manipulation. Integrate hardware and software components into a functional system for real-world deployment. Design and execute field trials (test protocols, data logging, troubleshooting, reliability improvements). Produce technical documentation, reports, and implementation guides to support knowledge transfer and maintainability. Support project procurement activities (e.g., technical specifications, vendor evaluation, quotations) for robotics hardware, sensors, and compute resources. Contribute to publications and technical notes to disseminate research outcomes. To communicate and liaise with any internal and external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met. Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by supervisor. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field. Experience in imitation learning and reinforcement learning for robotics applications. Hands-on familiarity with robotic manipulators and motion planning. Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. Experience with ROS / ROS 2 for real-robot software integration. Proficiency in Python and C++, with good software engineering practices (version control, testing, maintainable code). Familiarity with robotics simulation tools such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or MuJoCo. At least 2 years of experience in robotics research or industry projects.

We are seeking a versatile Senior Scientist (all genders) who will undertake responsibilities at the institute in long-term research projects, the editorial management of scholarly journals and publications, science management/academic administration, and teaching. This position will initially be limited to 3 years. As part of the hiring process, an evaluation agreement will be concluded between the position holder and the faculty and the assigned institute for the duration of the limitation. Upon fulfillment of this agreement, the service contract will be made permanent. Your future tasks: Editorial management of the department’s international scholarly publications — on the one hand, the journal “Tyche. Beiträge zur Alten Geschichte, Papyrologie und Epigraphik,” published both in print and Open Access (annual volumes as well as supplement and special volumes), and on the other hand, the electronic Open Access series “Wiener Beiträge zur Alten Geschichte online (WBAGon)” Oversee the research area “Austria Romana Austriaca” (Roman Austria), to which you will contribute through your own research and publications; you will also participate in research projects in this and adjacent fields.
