Yanbian University is located in Yanji City, South Korea.
It was founded in 1949.
It was divided into four institutions in 1958 and was reunited in 1996 in a merger with the city’s Teachers College, Medical College, College of Agriculture and the Jilin Academy of Arts.
It has 20 colleges.
It has a technology library, engineering lab, anatomy lab, chemical lab, languge classrooms, translation facilities.
Students can take part in a range of extracurricular activities and sports such as skiing lessons, dance classes, basketball, swimming, table tennis, volleyball and taekwondo.
It is part of the national Project 211.
